Rhythm of Gathering
Our Summer Sundays during Ordinary Time will focus on Matthew 25 as we look at the seven Corporal Works of Mercy.
Our gathering helps create a simple way of staying connected to God and to each other.
A typical Summer Sunday looks like:
10:00. Pre-Service Prayer in Chapel
10:15. Infants and toddlers can be dropped off in the Nursery located in the lower level
10:30. Worship in Elim’s Little Chapel / Children (ages 3-10 years old) are dismissed for their own learning / Children return to worship at communion
11:45. Coffee and Connection in Lounge
FIRST SUNDAY Worship and COMMON MEAL
On the first Sundays of each month, we eat a communal meal together after our worship gathering. We stay a little longer, dismissing at 1:00 p.m. You are encouraged to bring a dish of your favorite food to share with others if your name is not on the regular meal schedule. In July, August and September, we worship and picnic in Logan Park if it is not raining.
On the fourth Sundays of each month, you have have the opportunity to come early and serve at Elim Church's Hope Avenue. Contact Pastor Laura for more information about volunteering.
Any questions? Let us know.
Everyone--young and old--meets in Elim's Little Chapel for worship and teaching. Kids age three to ten years old are dismissed to their own circle of learning during the sermon as they focus on favorite bible stories using the Orange's 252 curriculum. All the children return for communion and our closing time of community prayer.
