Our two LitKnit Circles have been going well this fall!
Our New City Circle (Wed. mornings from 8:30 – 10 at B.E. Coterie) had 5 learners and has increased by 1 ‘Mommy’ learner. That group actually has two pairs of mother/daughter learners which I think is exciting to see! From past experience, I have seen knitting be a great way for family members to slow down and spend time together. Everyone is progressing well and this past week Theo Lukes read some Aesop’s Fables to us while we worked on our projects. Thank you, Theo; you were a great reader and you made our time together even better because of the stories you shared.
Our Knight Circle (Thursday afternoons from 4:00 – 5:30 at Miriam Knight’s house by Beltrami Park) has grown in time and in learners! We initially offered it for one hour; but due to requests from the learners, we have increased it to 1 ½ hours. We have also increased in size with the addition of 4 new learners. We have also begun to read Aesop’s Fables in this group. Aesop makes for good conversation!
B.E. Coterie asked if I would be willing to teach a knitting workshop on a weekday evening for adults. I have accepted and am offering a workshop in beginning knitting from 6:30 – 8 on Thursday nights beginning November 14th. We will meet until Dec. 19th and take the week of Thanksgiving off. Since I am charging for this workshop, I am offering it personally, not through LitKnit. The fee is $65 plus materials (material list provided upon registration). The participants will have the chance to make a hat before Christmas! If you are interested in joining us, you can register by calling B. E. Coterie at 612-353-4238.
